2007-2008 Heritage Panel
Twenty-seven students, five teachers and one school counselor participated in a 2-day training workshop facilitated by
NCCJ in mid-September 2007. Training involved many interactive activities calling for an in-depth look into how our
values, thoughts, perceptions and behaviors affect people all around us. Each student and faculty member learned a great
deal about themselves and areas in which change is called for so that our school and community can become a place more about
respect, recognition, appreciation and diversity and less about division and disrespect. The training prepared students
and faculty to facilitate Heritage Panels in the classrooms and community this school year. Students will share their
stories about what they learned and how they be change agents.
